Crosscanon pairing meme discussion

Just a few questions of my own:
-Should it be focused on crossover or crosscanon shipping only, or should canon ships be allowed?
-If we allow for platonic/friendship options, should that be included on the same meme or should a different one be made for that?
-Should it be a free-for-all or should we use PMs like the anon describes here?
-Lastly, should it be plotting only or should prompts/a setup be included so people can get to it right there?

Canon ships seem to be a popular option, and I guess I can see why. But I guess what I don't see why they would need a meme when pretty much every other meme is tailored for canon pairings.

But I'll do the popular thing.

As someone who plays from an obscure canon, something like this may help enable a player to actually play my character's canon love. I'd definitely prefer her, but wouldn't be adverse to cross-canon.

Phoenix/Edgeworth not so much but Phoenix/Gumshoe is okay or something?

I'd like to see no mention of what canons character's come from. Maybe post anon and do something like a personal ad. Like "single male seeking out female who enjoys long walks..." etc. That was there won't be bias and obscure characters will have a chance.

Something like that could also be a way to find interesting new cross-canon pairings.

Or if people suck with personal ads, there could be a form to describe the character, what sort of character they would be seeking, provide age, and stuff like that.

ooh, dating ads seem like a cool idea

but should it be ic or ooc? or whatever the poster wants to do? i can see some people wanting to do it ic but none of my characters would be willing.
